On Kerry Anne today.....

Howdy howdy howdy,
Now that I am a stay at home mum to be, I really have little that is exciting in my life to share with you all, other than baby related news that is!
So the update on that front is that baby is growing well and kicking me lots! Seems he like boxing like his dad and likes to use my belly as a boxing bag! I dont mind a bit, I have to tell you dear readers that its the best feeling in the world and when he's sleeping, or not moving much I want to poke him and make him move again! Tee hee I'll have to give that habbit up before he's born! I'm about 11 weeks from the finish line now! Yay!
The cat, who has so far been lovely and gentle throughout the pregnancy, has turned this week and is being a bit of a brat - and biting me! Maybe he knows he's not going to be the only baby boy in the house and thinks its my fault? Who knows, cheeky kitty cat.
So I was reminded by hubs this morning that I used to do regular questions (eg how many times did I snooze today, what did the coffee guy say etc) but those questions are no longer fitting so I think I will have to come up with some newies... any suggestions?
Lets see... Times I peed today? Best daytime tv show? What Dr Phil said to me today? Hmmmmm no I dont think so. This takes a bit of thought.....
Next post I will launch my new and improved daily questions.
Til then
Smiles, and dancing in ya hearts!

I'm back and BIG

Well well... you thought I may have vanished from the face of the earth? Nope here I am. You probably all (all being all three of you who read this) know that I am preggers now and my "baby brains" (medical term) has interferred with my ability to blog, thus I havent posted for many months.

Ok so the last time I was here I was a workin' gal, with a lunch break, a wage and an ability to drink coffee. Now I am an unemployed whale, every second is a lunch break and dont give me coffee unless you want to see what I ate last night. But seriously, the last week's problems aside the whole pregnancy bit is very cool - and guess what?! I get a baby at the end! A baby who will become a toddler, little kid, kid, teenager and adult all with my help. Its a very cool thing.

So as this subject dominates my life let me debunk a few preg related myths for y'all, and let you in on some insights..
- "baby brains" as mensioned above is a real thing, it doesnt start when you have the baby, it starts as soon as that little bean starts sucking your brain power - basicly as soon as its made! My vocab and spelling abilities have gone out the window, as has my memory retention, so you may well find yourself repeating things to me only for me to ask you again. If this happens I apolagise and if I am using words out of context feel free to imagine your own ingenious word to say what I evidentally cant.
-staring out the window IS a legitimate way to spend a day, infact there are limitless things you can spend days looking at, so finish work as soon as you can girls, there is much looking to be done.
- You may have once walked through a shopping centre going "ooh check out that gir'ls boots", or drive past and drool over some wicked car - things will change. These things will be replaced with "Oooh they've got the bugaboo pram, they must be loaded" or "oh look that's the latest baby bjorn!" Be prepared to be excited about sales on nappies, to feel joy over washing related success and for an early night to be in bed before 9.

This is just the first instalment but I must go now, as I go to something with which I have a love hate relationship - the toilet. Thats right peeing will become a hated but regularly indulged passtime.

Belly say hi (I can interpret kicks like morse code)
big love in ya hearts. xx

Leavin' on a jet plane..

Well the youngest of the tribe flew the nest on Saturday night. Yup my lil sis Sarah has gone overseas. I have decided that i HATE the stupid silver doors at the airport, why cant we go through them and watch her board the plane? Bastards. Anyway it was emotional for all involved and Im not ready to say much else about it at this stage.

Love you Sarah!!

Lana and the ants

Once there was a girl called Lana. She had a love for all living things except for a few.. these being spiders, ants and other general bugs. Even though she disliked these critters she didnt like to see them killed.

Spiders, except for an unlucky few, stayed away from her, other bugs had the sense to keep there distance.. then there was the ants.

The attack of the ants started many years ago when Lana, an innocent teenager, was living in a cheap rental with an ant problem.. One day while in the shower suddenly Lana was horrified to see ants pouring out of the gap beside the hot water tap.. the hot water system being on was turning their nest into a sauna! This lead to days of cold showers for fear of burning the ants until one fateful day she could shower cold no more. She got into the shower, turned on the hot tap and waited for the ants to run out. And run out they did. Reminiscent of the sinking of the titanic, ants were throwing themselves off the walls, plunging to their death, rithing in agony. Clearly this would have a scaring effect on Lana.

Year after traumatised year Lana managed to live relatively ant free until in a small shoebox in Carnegie the ants launched their revenge. They invaded all of the small flat from wardrobe to tv, laptop to, yes, shower. Lana wishes to apolagise to all the ants for the tragic circumstances surrounding the Beaumaris masacre and begs them to get out of her drawers, pants, off her stereo and to please please stay away from the bathroom. All she wants is to live in harmony with the ants.. her in her house and them...somewhere else.

Love and other mushie stuff

Hello, long time no see....er write....

Well here we are Feb 2006! Guess what? Im a wife! I have been for 2 weeks and one day now.. Wow. The wedding was beautiful and thanks to all of you who were there! What a majikal day xxx

Being a wife isnt too much different from being a girlfriend, weddings how ever do make people go crazy, the madness of my loopy loopy family is just starting to settle down.. my wedding has made my sister decide to elope when the time comes!!

We went away to the Whitsundays and I highly highly recommend it, the Great Barrier Reef was an amazing experience - we saw Nemo! It was so amazing floating around on the deep deep ocean.

My husband (!!!!!!) is my absolute superman, who would have thought that I could love him more than I did!!! It gets bigger and bigger day by day and I am blessed to have such an angel in my world.

What a mushie post!!!!! Ok to the trad basics-

When? Wednesday.

Heya, how ya doin' out there in computer land?

Times I snoozed this morning: Well my new alarm goes off every 5 mins!! Soo errr... 5 snoozes!
Song I woke up singing: Fishman's woman - Ameliana
Train incident: Big bump on tracks made me hit my head on the wall, its always dangerous just before Caulfield station - I shouldn't have let me guard down!
Work incident: Set the alarm off.. turns out you shouldn't push "memory" in the middle of the code number....
Non ratings time tv I watched last night: two, one is about some mystery deep sea creature..forgotten the name of it..and the second one was "Ghost whisperer" so bad it was great.
Things to avoid over the next few weeks: SHOPS... has anyone noticed that christmas shoppers are crazier than usual this year?? If you do decide to brave it I recomend wearing some kind of protective armour otherwise you could end up injured like I almost was in the reject shop- copping an elbow to the ribs. I think the lady thought that of all the 5 bays of same christmas lights I might buy the only good box or the one that I was reaching for must be really special. Infact maybe I should take it as a compliment to my taste.

Well time to get some work done..

Big smiles and love to ya

Better off dancing..

:)

Voice of an angel

Last night we went to see Emiliana Torrini. What a beautiful girl with the voice of an angel. I thank the world Emiliana.

You said I began
This messy state of love affair
And I drink too much and smoke too fast
And this city's cleared my innocence

Coffee is pouring out my ears
It’s the only thing they have in here
And my heart stops beating

And when it stops it stops
My heart stopped beating
And when it stops it stops
My heart stopped beating

Number tree still on my plate
I heard the trains are running late
And I laugh out loud
My life is a mess
I have gone too far
In my lifelessness

Another coffee it’s on the house
The poor girl look is on the owners spouse
And my heart stopped beating

And when it stops it stops
My heart stopped beating
And when it stops it stops
My heart stopped beating

Outside your house
To make a scene
In my head you grabbed me passionately
But the lights are out
And in an hour I walked on home
In the pouring shower
Lost my keys in front of me
My neighbor's smile he’s handing me
The blackest coffee you will ever see

And my hearts stopped beating

And when it stops it stops
My heart stopped beating
And when it stops it stops
My heart stopped beating
